Catwalk Coaching Session at Amber Chia Academy

We all know that catwalk is not merely just walking but it's an entirely new skill that requires the right poise, the right pace, and the right style. It was indeed an honour to have Amber Chia Academy to teach the Project O&O finalists just that two weeks ago.

Jasmine Loh, who is the manager at the academy availed herself to be the coach and immediately as she stepped into the building, she commanded attention without even verbally letting out a single word. She carries a certain presence and that's what all the finalists should possess.

As I stood there and became an audience myself, I witnessed how Jasmine split the contestants into 2 groups according to their genders and she attended to each team by strutting back & forth in her low cut ankle boots. The way she threw her arms slightly above her hips, crossed her legs as she pace herself with the music and intensely used all her facial muscle to create the look - it was breath-taking.

The contestants were taught how not to be boring in their walks and to show their personalities at the end of their runway. After all, Project O&O is looking for someone who has personality as well, so it was very important for the contestants to capture the audiences' attention through with their personalized walks during the Grand Finale.

The ladies had to walk with rods placed at their back just so that they can walk without slouching.

The solid 2 hours coaching session passed by quickly and I could tell that the contestants really enjoyed themselves throughout even though they were forced to master their walks in such short period of time. Overall, Megat outshone the rest by possessing the best walk.

I was glad that most of the contestants could make it and for me to be able to bond with them. This bunch of young people are fine diamonds in the making.

Week 3 of March

I've finally gotten the call from VOIR saying that the prize giving ceremony (read the previous post to find out what competition I won) would be taking place on the 21st of March.

Very good. Which means I will need to apply leave for all my classes from the 17th all the way to 22nd of March. Fingers crossed that there will be no tests/quizzes happening in that time frame. Yes, I do have such worries too ya know.

What's happening on the 17th would be absolutely interesting! We are bringing all Project O&O Top 10 contestants to Lumut and torture them!! *evil laughter* I'm kidding. Well, what's at Lumut is the infamous...... Outward Bound Malaysia!

OBM is known for being the oldest centre located on the coast right opposite from the tourist island, Pangkor - one of the top 10 beach resorts in the world. The organizers of Project O&O and the professional trainers at OBM have customized a 3 days leadership training course for the Top 10 Finalists and from the sound of it - it's not going to be easy, but it's going to be real fun! I can imagine the look on the contestants who are reading is.

Don't worry guys, you're in safe hands! One catch about being at OBM, all participants will not be allowed to carry any communication devices (ie. mobile phones, laptops). Partly for safety precautions as the participants will be kayaking their way to Pangkor Island, the other reason is simply because it's been a practice at OBM all these while and we should disconnect from the world once in a while to simply enjoy the natural beauty of our surroundings.

Once the OBM training is over, the next day the finalists will need to go for a catwalk coaching session with International supermodel Amber Chia at Jaya One.

I am seriously curious to see how my guy contestants are going to perform during the session. It's going to be fun to see how they are going to strut & pose. Hahaha! I am, however, not so worried about the girls as they are naturally borned beauties and they can pose pretty well during the photoshoot. (Oh yes, pictures on the photoshoot to be released on Sunday! I can already hear someone cheering.)

Right after the catwalk session, I gotta be off to the prize giving ceremony at One Utama.

It's definitely going to be an eventful week filled with fervour for myself and for Project O&O!

VOIR's Shoez Design Competition

5 months ago I took part in the mentioned competition, got 3rd placing and let me just get this off my chest - I've not gotten my prize yet.... So you people can stop asking me where is my new HTC phone. Ahem.

Anyway, this was my submission.

It was inspired by the Sparkling Violetear Hummingbird (as can be seen on the top left corner of the image). Hummingbirds are relatively friendly birds and while I was designing this shoe, I wanted it to portray the same image too and tried to avoid using colours that are too bold or too fierce (eg. Red). And yes, the shoe is called a 'Hummingberd'.

No, I'm not blogging about food. Or Nachos. Ahem.

To me, sexuality is a preference. Everyone is presented with a menu and you choose what you want from the list. Below I've described sexualities metaphorically.

Group A

Before they go to a restaurant, they already know what they want to have. I call this group the Straights.

Group B

They hold the menus in their hands and takes forever to order. "Oi, sabar lah. I know you damn hungry. But I don't know what I want". I call them the Confused.

Group C

Everybody says that dish is nice and this group of people rebels. "I think I prefer Lamb Shank over Spaghetti Bolognaise.." . Yeap, they are the Gays and Lesbians.

Group D

This group of people wants everything. "Eh eh, I want everything that my friend just ordered!!" I think you're getting good at this - they are the Bisexuals.

Group E

When the food has arrived, they take a bit of everything from their friends' plate. "Nak cuba sikit boleh tak???" This group I call them the Curious.

"Jom, pergi next door." - The Transgenders.

Congratulations to both of my winners and I'm super proud of them. Introducing...

The manly looking Bio-tech student from KL who represented UTAR - Kenny Mah.

This champion right here is friendly and humble. Not only does he know how to carry himself in public, he knows how to relate to others and make sure you feel comfortable chatting with him. Kenny did not for once show me any snobbish attitude or even told me anything about him winning the UTAR Model Search Competition. That really tells me something.

The hot and sweet Kampar girl majoring in Psychology who represented UTAR as well - Josheen Ma.

Funny how both my winners turned out to be winners of UTAR Model Search Competition too and they never once hinted me on that piece of information. And what's even more strange is that this girl is so humble and accommodating. Reason why I said that was because Josheen does not speak fluent English and that's okay, but she tried her very best to converse with me even though she was not strong in the lingo. That I will have to give her credit. But of course, after a while I spoke to her in Chinese. I'm also very nais. :)

So here I would like to wish the both of you (Kenny & Josheen) the very best in achieving your dreams and may you be blessed in this path which Project O&O had laid for you.

I still vividly remember how active I was in trying to get myself into different competitions that could get me somewhere in life. One of them was Nescafe Kickstart that I clearly thought I could win and bag the cash prizes that was offered back then.

And whenever I receive any email from Nescafe Kickstart, I will never fail to visit their website and give it a bit of look-see to check out what they have to offer.

Previously, it was much tougher. To get to the top, you will have to come up with business proposals in the form of videos or type out essays with a few thousand words. It was tedioussssss. And I can't believe I once did it before! What a clown.

Photoshoot Tuesday (Part II)

I've always thought photographers are stuck up peeps. But after meeting and talking to Edmund, my perception of all photographers changed.

Edmund Tham is an international award winning photographer that is not only dedicated in what he does, he is also humble and real. Easily, Edmund could have just rejected to sponsor his service for Project O&O. We started off with nothing but he was still more than willing to provide his professional service.

Just last week, Edmund was featured on Utusan Malaysia and Sin Chew Daily and like I said, he must be that good to be put under the spotlight. He was also featured on Prestige Malaysia, The Star, Tatler Malaysia, and TV3 previously for his excellence at photography.

If you were to go to his blog, you would notice that Edmund is not your usual photographer but he brings a very different flavour to the table. Talk about flavour! (Referring to the picture above) Just in case you're still in the dark, Edmund made history by being the first Malaysian in WPJA (The Wedding Photojournalist Association) history to achieve the rank of World's Top 9 Photographers.

Even before the photoshoot, I realised Edmund is not having the mindset that since it's just an event handled by a handful of undergraduates he could just slack on the creativity side but he surprised me by suggesting that the photoshoot will take place in a construction site at Cheras that is way far from his office at Damansara Perdana. Make no mistake about it, we are going in to this place with no permission at all ! We could have been put to jail for trespassing! That's how much Edmund is risking for the love for photography.

During the photoshoot, Edmund brought along a friend to help out with the videography and his assistant for additional side snaps. And just when you think that this place is just rocks, it's tougher than you thought! It's the Sun!!! It was like Sahara! The Sun and the rocks! Crazy hot and we were all sweating like pigs.

There were times when Edmund would walk around just for a minute or two in silence to think about the next best spot to continue with the shoot or the next best pose for the finalists. He is only human lah, c'mon!

As for the shoot, it was a totally new experience for me and for the finalists as well. Overall my finalists mentioned that it was fun and they never expecting any photoshoot to be as such. That sentence alone made me realized that I made the right choice by approaching Edmund to be the sponsor for the photoshoot.

By tomorrow we should be able to upload all the pictures onto the Project O&O Facebook page and they will be up for voting. As the founder of Project O&O and after meeting the finalists face to face, I'm still unable to tell who's going to emerge as the winners of Project O&O. So it's up to you my friends!

It does make a bit of sense, right? So which team are you?!

Photoshoot Tuesday (Part I)

It has been a rough day for the four finalists of Project O&O. Seriously, it's rough. I'll explain why later.

Before the photoshoot, the finalists were at Edmund Tham's office to apply some (I mean layersssssss) of cosmetics and they all looked extraordinary after their looks have been pimped by make up artist, Yen.

When we arrived at the office, the place gave us a very comfortable and homie vibe. And after looking through many winning pieces from Edmund Tham, I realized his creativity is beyond this world. Did I mention Edmund is the one who completely designed the entire interior of his office?

And Edmund has this very mysterious door that leads to the washroom. It's so mysterious, I've decided not to show you. (Okay lah fine, I forgotten to take a picture of it. LOL)

Oh, and if you're a photographer, you should be able to name the camera in the center. Yes? Can? Uik! FAIL LAH YOU!! LOL!

So after the make up, we went straight to Connaught for the photoshoot. And here is how the set looks like. Now you know why I mentioned that it was a rough day?

Makeover Monday

Yesterday was a nerve-wrecking day for the four finalists of Project O&O. They have to undergo an extreme hair make over and they don't know what kind of styles would be given to them!

All four arrived right on time at Hair Asia Salon and at 10.30am sharp, the nearing-7-hours hair makeover started.

A Brighter Tomorrow for Project O&O?

(Did I just make the blog title rhyme? LOL)

Hey guys! Sorry for not being able to update yesterday, which I promised that I will share a thing or two about the future of Project O&O. :-)

Anyway, so I met up with someone really special (not THAT kind of "special" *sweat*) on a Thursday night and we discussed about how we could further expand Project O&O - making it more massive and more dynamic!

I won't be telling you who I met up with! Hahaha! Big secret!! But this guy here has been in the publishing business for a really long time and meanwhile owning a few other companies including a media & production company. So, could you guess in what way we are going to make the next Project O&O better?

However, it is still sketchy now. So I would need a favour from you. Here's a poll about whether we should still continue doing Project O&O II. It will be on the right sidebar. Please do take the time to cast your votes at the poll. It will help me to understand if I should continue to carry on with Project O&O.

Of Historic Pokemons

Just this morning I was casually greeting my friend (Jing Mi) on Twitter and this is how the tweet-convo went.

One thing funny about Twitter, you got to read from bottom-up if you're not a frequent Twitterer. The latest tweet is at the top.

I SERIOUSLY don't know how the word 'Chikorita' came out! LOL. But I guess I just miss the Pokemon days, ya know? The days when I held on tight to my Gameboy and whenever I failed to pass the Elite Four, I'll feel like smashing the Gameboy on the wall. How many of you know how it feels, right?

And I'm too lazy to explain what Elite Four is to those that know nuts about Pokemon.

You know what! I've always felt Ash Ketchum's name is damn weird. No? I always thought it sounded like Ash Ketchup! :D

Wah Uncle Ash. Salute! Very dedicated indeed. Eh wait, is this a girl?!

But Pokemon was really a big part of my life. If you're as old as I am, you've probably been through this. Digimons... Pokemons... Tamagotchi... and what not.

How can you not like Pokemon?

With all the different versions of Pokemon, for instance, Gold (my absolute favourite. And I played the Japanese version. Seriously siow! Didn't know what they were talking about!!), Silver, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Ruby, Emerald and the list goes on forever!!

So, I binged and found out that the latest version of Pokemon goes to...

Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver!

I've no idea how different it is from the previous versions. Never bothered to check it out. Haha! But you can always find out more from Wikipedia.

Oh another thing, I've no idea if they have improved on the cheats. I used to cheat a lot! Hahahahahahaha! *laughs excessively* The common practice was to swim along this particular appointed shore and the sixth (not too sure which) item in your inventory will amazingly increased to an infinity amount. And usually I would place my 'Rare Candy' (a food item for the Pokemons and they will level up immediately) in that position and voila!

Besides, I love how they never run out of ideas on how to evolve the monsters and make them look so different from each other. The different elements and it just wows me. Tell you a little secret! Since I like sketching and drawing a lot, I used (Past tense okay!) to draw my own Pokemon. Hahahaha! Eh, stop laughing! And I'm not showing you any of those drawings. Lol.

Doesn't it make you feel like falling in love with Pokemon all over again? So tell me, which Pokemon was your ultimate favourite?

Well, after discussing with the team, we would like to throw a big surprise on you guys! Jeng jeng jeng!

The surprise is that we will be pulling a Wildcard on who gets to be in Stage Two starting tomorrow. We will be tabulating and we will only pick 4 highest voted candidates from each gender and..... the management will be voting internally to pick the 5th candidate to join the semi-finalists for each gender.

Very simple. Meaning the public votes will determine the 8 candidates who gets to enter Stage Two and the other 2 will be picked by the management. No favouritism or whatsoever, because we will also be voting as well, internally! Doesn't matter if you've got low votes or high votes from the public, we may just pick you!

Of Birthdays and Elimination

So today marked the first stage of Project O&O where all 144 candidates went through filtering and the management team managed to come up with only 52 candidates made up of 25 guys and 27 girls. It was hard but we finally did it.

Some really posed a challenge for the team because some were from the same campus and both had really close amount of votes. We wished we could grab both of them to place them in the first stage but rules are rules. Like I said before, what's FIFA without rules, referees and red cards.

Well, today is also the day that marked 23 years of my life (Yes, I'm old thankyouverymuch). While it wasn't amazing or fabulously celebrated but it did show me and brought clarity on friendships. :-) No don't worry, I'm not emo okay! LOL.

Anyway, since it's my birthday, I would really love to ask for a special favour from my readers here and also my friends from Project O&O. (Did you realize we are reaching 10,000 friends there?)

Okay, so please do me this special favour. List me your very own Top Four among the 52 candidates now. Go through the pictures and just roughly tell me who are your very own 'Top Four'. Remember I did mine previously? But well, mine was Top 10.

Project O&O: So who's in for now?

Alright. So today would be the last day for the Preliminary Stage before we tabulate the votes and proceed to Stage One.

But the thing is, there are still so many universities and colleges out there that have not sent in their representatives. Either that, or it's a bit loop sided. By that I mean, there are schools with (for instance) two male representatives and does not have any female representatives.

So there's still less than 14 hours to recruit whoever that is good looking from your school and place them in the competition!

Below I will show you tables of the schools that are in and how many representatives that they do have.

On the other hand, if your school has 16 male candidates (*hint hint* U.T.A.R), you may have to battle it out with your VOTES yo!

Today is the day you really go all out to make sure you get to proceed to the next stage. We won't be telling you who the highest voted candidates are, but if you care to know, please do find out yourself. :-)

Here's a few suggestions of what you can do to harvest for more votes, either for yourself or for a good buddy: (in no particular order)

1. Use the Share button!

You can find this button on the sidebar (left). Tell all your friends to support you via Facebook private messaging system!

2. Update your status with the direct link to your picture!

But please, please don't spam okay. Later I'll get sued for teaching you this. LOL!

3. Tag your friends at your picture!

Do make sure that once they have voted for you, remove their tags and tag some other friends. It's cruel but that's the only way! ;-)

4. Blog about it!

Record yourself using a Digital Camera and promote about your picture on Project O&O. Right after, upload it onto Youtube and link it up in ways I'm sure you already know!

Since the day it was launched

A good day to all!

Just two weeks ago Project One & Only was launched and I'm really glad with how it has turned up. With fan base that is reaching 7000, we believe Project O&O has the potential to grow even more and to expand in different aspects to help even more undergraduates to step out and take control of their lives.

Let me show you some statistics (tabulated on the 17th of June 2010)

We can see that the genders of the page is almost the same with difference of 2%. So... WHERE THE HECK ARE ALL THE GUYS?! Lol. And we know we've gotten the right group of people when the majority of the group falls between the age of 18-24 years old, while 10% goes to the young adults and we all know what they are here to do - check out hot chicks and hot guys larh, what else! :)

Here's another table that shows us the countries, cities and languages of our friends on the page.

While we only targeted Malaysian youths and since we do have two Singaporean judges, we did expect a tad bit of Singaporean friends who would join us, but we can see that people from nearly all over the world (Fine. Exaggerated) have landed themselves here. Amazing. And seriously, Bangladesh?! Hahaha!

I'm just so happy that we are doing this right and everyone seems to be happy - except for those that were unable to take part in the competition. Please do know that the team is doing what they feel is best for the competition, it is a pageant after all and what we are really looking for is the looks. If you don't have the looks to begin with, you're out of the game. How many of you know that first impression counts, right?

And I strongly advice that all potential candidates to read the T&C because it gives guidelines on the competition and we really don't want to offend anyone. When you have read and understood the rules & regulations, then proceed with the entries and we won't do anything funny. You happy, we also happy.

So, do remember that the deadline for any entries is tomorrow night 11.59pm. Please make sure that once it has crossed that, we will strictly not receive anymore entries.

Oh, do you want to know who are my favourites among the candidates?

Well, for me it's more of the respect that the candidates give to Project O&O by sending in a proper picture which I honestly appreciate. Whoever that wants to make a mockery out of Project O&O, you can head on to another page to do so.

Here's the list of my top 10 candidates I feel that I like their attitude and professionalism.

1. Josheen Ma, from UTAR - One of the first female candidates that is now leading in terms of public votes

2. Dylan Phuah, from TARC - for having the guts to send in his picture first

3. Puteri Elfarezza, from Help UC - the first Malay candidate

4. Jaslinder Dhillon, from U.T.M - the first Indian candidate

7. Hanie Hidayah, from Monash University

8. Billy Lim, from INTI Laureate

9. Li May, from Taylors University

10. Andrew Fong, from INTI International University
I guess the rest I will not be uploading it here to prevent bias of opinions.

Other than that I would also want to give credits to a loving mother who uploaded her daughter's picture - Nicolette Jane. That's the length a mother would go for to make sure the children have a brighter future.

Like what I said, the above pictures I uploaded doesn't mean that they have higher chances of winning, neither does it mean they are the better looking ones of the pack.

Well, you just got to stay tune and find out WHO will be eliminated tomorrow night.

Uncovering Project O&O

Just last Friday, I officially launched the one and only Malaysia's first ever intervarsity online pageant on Facebook called Project One & Only. And no, I did not just use the words 'One' and 'only' in the same sentence.

I still remember the days when I used to hate Facebook because my sister was so into it. She used to laugh at the laptop screen because someone threw a sheep at her. (Funny meh?) I think a cow would be funnier. Okeh anyway.... it did not occur to me that Facebook had become very much part of my life now. Before I sleep, I check my FB. And when I wake up, I use the "0.facebook.com" on my Nokia E63 to check for notifications. I'm hooked!

Why are you not using a Blackberry?

Erm......... Next question please.

Why 'Project One & Only'?

I think you should ask me why launch the pageant on Facebook.

Okok. Why launch 'Project One & Only' on Facebook?

Cause I like. :D Kidding! Don't larh so serious, can?!
Reason being is because Facebook is the major networking website right now with many different functions and applications. And since we are all stuck in the world of Facebook, why not just tap into it? A single 'Share' button, and I can get a piece of information to anybody I want. Sometimes things are actually so simple, and we make it so complicated.

Can I ask why 'Project One & Only' now?

Yes. Cause I just feel like doing it. :D HAHAHAHAHA.

Sorry. HAHAHAHA. 'Project One & Only' exist as a platform to promote the lives of university or college students so they could live a more extraordinary life. Rather than just doing the routine stuff : do assignments, study for test, copy & paste articles from Wikipedia (you're such a liar if you're denying that), and, and... GOALLLLLLLLLLL (Hee, just wanted to do that). I'm pretty sure you know what's a student's routines are. It's dull and boring. And here comes 'Project One & Only' to spice up their lives!

Why the name?

Well, 'One & Only' had been shortened to just 'O&O' simply because.. the logo couldn't fit in that many characters! Haha! Thus, 'Project O&O'. A lot of people have been asking me what does it stands for? O&O? It does not define itself. While some would think of porn, I feel it's abit more catchy that way. Don't you think? And I went for the name 'One & Only' is due to the fact that we are literally selecting only one male winner and one female winner. (No, I'm not changing the name to 'Two Only'. Sweat.)

How does Project O&O really works?

It's very simple. Each university/college have to come up with two representatives - 1 guy and 1 girl, send the pictures to us with a few information (can be found on the Project O&O's main page), and we'll take it from there. From Preliminary stage all the way to the final stage. We'll take care of it and we'll try our best to make you proud!

And your panel of judges?

Well, what about the prizes? The people are not coming in, is it because the prizes are not attractive enough?

Well, if you're searching for cash prize of RM100,000 , and all you want are electronic gadgets and spa treatments and facial treatments and blah blah blah, then I regret to say that it's disappointing for sure.

Project O&O is not aiming to pamper the contestants but rather to be a stepping stone to catapult the winners into the limelight. Firstly, we have two magazine shoots. One is by I.M. Magazine, which is a two-page-spread fashion shoot. The other is by Stage Magazine and the winners may even get the chance to be featured on the cover. While I.M. Magazine caters to the English audience, Stage caters to the Chinese readers, and the winners get the best of both worlds.

The second would be a personal photography shoot with international award winning wedding photographer, Edmund Tham. This is really a chance in a lifetime to be shot by a world renowned photographer. Known for his wild and creative themes, Edmund is ready to do this for the winners of Project O&O. And since there will also be another photoshoot during the final stage for the four finalists, Edmund would also be doing that for us. So, for you bloggers who are keen to learn from the best of the best, you may wanna tag along during the photoshoot.

The third prize is the chance to be featured as talent in one of the campaigns done by BBDO/Proximity Malaysia - one of the top three leading advertising agencies in the country. If the campaign is done for the billboards, holy mama, the winners will be on the billboards. How cool is that?! I want to be on a billboard! *sulk* And you have to visit their website, it's so creative and so mind-blowing. Most importantly, check out their clienteles. Phew.

The fourth prize is a personal session with Malaysia's top image consultant, Wendy Lee from Chapter One Asia. Wendy writes articles for different media columns (you can check that out in the Chapter One Asia official website) and one personal session with her can cost up to RM2,800! I've been to a Jill Lowe's (one of Singapore's top image consultant) and it was da bomb! I didn't know the colors for apparels can be divided into different 'seasons' too (winter, autumn, summer, spring) and for any one person, you could only fit one (max two) season. So any color you wear that is not from that 'season', may not look good on you and does not command the attention that you need/want.

And lastly, we are throwing in a RM500 for the two winners. As much as the prizes listed above are good enough to plant the winners into the pot of fame, we would love to give them a bit of incentives too. All the traveling and accommodations, we just hope it's enough to cover those expenses.

It is damn confusing to have competitions for the fans and a competition for the pageant. What is really happening?

While our aim is to scout for two winners for the pageant, we also need a fan base. The Weekly Talented Fans competition (also known as WTF competition) serves that purpose of drawing in more fans. Basically every week, Project O&O will introduce a new task for the fans and all we are hoping is that the fans will be less shy in doing them. Now, the fans are not really participating and it's very frustrating to know that most Malaysians are still not as out-going. When this post was written, the fan base is barely touching the '300' mark. We need more fans. And we need more people to talk about it.

Last question, what is the future plan for Project O&O?

We see Project O&O as not just an event for the pageant but rather a community. We want to help the community. Stay tune to find out because I'm really thinking of something that is life changing too. Cannot tell here lah, later people copy how, right?! LOL.

So, overall, I have one special request to all bloggers and readers of this blog, please spread the news about Project O&O. We need the fan base to 'boomz'. :-)

After four months of hibernating, I'M BACK! Hopefully for good. Why do I feel like I've saying that for the passed few posts???? LOL!

Just a little update! Been up with some event organizing, around to meet some sponsors, a lot of phone calling, and emailing and definitely will be a tad busy since my 10 weeks internship is starting next Monday too. *Breathes*

Anyway, do you know that feeling of thinking of a creative idea and then suddenly you witness someone else doing it!!!!! I'm feeling it right now! It makes me wanna rip my hair out of my scalp!

I wouldn't say I'm an Ugly Betty fanatic but I do follow the series. I admit I do get a bit excited when I get to download the next episode. Hehe! What! Don't judge me.

I have people like my sister who asked me,

"Why do you watch Ugly Betty? She's so ugly larh."

Hence, UGLY Betty! Lol.

Honestly, she's really very ugly. Hahahahaha! I can't imagine myself dating a girl that looks like that.

So, in my personal opinion, Betty is not that ugly after all. A nice person is never ugly.

There's something that a person told me which I don't think I will ever forget,

Thus, you will never be perceived as an 'ugly' person if you do what's right. *big grin*

ZM0106 Speaking with Juwita

It was a privilege for IK to be ale to invite Juwita Suwito to be our guest of honour for our annual event - 'Are You Ready for a Love Affair'.

The moment she stepped into the car at Senai airport, the humble yet annointed singer brought a different vibe altogether. Famous for having the Best Local English album in Malaysia, Juwita could have shove me off with a cold shoulder but she didn't.

During her session at the event, Juwita performed us a song and did a live interview together with me, not forgetting she also allowed us to play her 'All This Time' official music clip. Her one desire was to impact the lives of the UTM students and the love that she have for them showed when she still insisted to attend the event after her flight got delayed twice.

Respect!

So guys, the next time you are going to have an event, you can consider inviting Juwita!

Not only can she blow you away with her mesmerizing voice, she can also blow you away with her humour and humility! Hahaha!

Juwita, you're indeed a shining star! We applaud you.

ZM0066 Fendi Baguette Bag Design Competition

During the 2 months holidays I was bored and was on the look out for competitions to take part in.

Whichever that has my best interest, of course.

Somehow I landed myself on MTV Asia's website and got to know about a bag design competition.

Being me, young and curious (bakuakuakua), I innocently designed and anyhow took part in it.

I think I did mention about the competition here 2 months ago, but I guess NOBODY paid any attention to it.

And to my surprise, when I opened my mailbox today, Fendi dropped me an email and told me to check out their website.

Immediately, I clicked on the link given and was repeatedly shown a blank page. Then I realised, IT REQUIRES HIGH BANDWIDTH TO VIEW THE PAGE. I know cause the designing of bags has to be done on the website itself and then submit.

The anticipation made me jumped up and down, perspired like mad, and I almost wanted to fly out of the window. ( I didn't of course, if not I won't be here typing this right?! Use your blain, use your blainnnnnnnnn.)

Anyway, yes, back to the adventure. I texted Susanna (you can read more about her here) and pleaded her to check the online result for me.

Being the kind her, she did. Thanks Sue, you're always the best! Considering during my fashion design competition last year, she did play a fair part in the sewing job. THANKS AGAIN SUE!

She texted me back saying : Hey, you're a finalist in the top 10!

[check out the first and the last bag.. those are my creations. Hahaha. Don't ask me why they are both pinkish. I. DON'T. KNOW.]

Gasped and gulped, I hooray-ed!

Though I'm only in the top 10 under the region of Singapore, but I'm already very glad, cause there are other countries too like Taiwan, Korea, Thailand and Hong Kong. None Malaysia. *sweat* But I believe God for more!! Hehe.

I was really just trying my luck by the way. No obligation, no expectation.

In the top 10, I was given 2 spots. So, it kinda sums up that total finalist equals 9. =)

I'm very glad. I hope I get to go to Rome! *Giggle*

Digi Fu-yoh Fashion Designing Competition

It was a hectic Saturday for me. Drove up all the way to K.L and participated in the competition together with 7 other designers.

It was fun, running from left to right searching for safety pins, looking for accessories, putting on the costumes for my models, it wasn't easy. At all.

I loved the whole backstage runway scene, putting on make ups for the models, making sure their outfit doesn't fall off during the runway.

I was requested to give a preferable theme song, which I ended up suggesting Timberlake's Sexyback.

My designs were all very sensual. Nothing like any of the designers there.

What I handed in via email to the judges were:
