All about the face

I'm a person who believes in first impressions. How you present yourself to me would be how I would think of you in the future if I don't get to know you further. So it is case important that I will try to look good as much as possible.

Thanks to a kind friend of mine who was willing to give me a discount voucher from Jusco, I managed to go for a round of facial treatment at Adonis.

Myelie Wu, Ambassador of Adonis

When first stepped into Adonis, the consultant was very approachable and friendly. But because I did not make an appointment before hand, I had to wait for less than an hour since they have to slot me into their schedule.

I've heard of good compliments from friends that Adonis uses very natural methods and products to help their customers look good. So, I expected it to be totally calming and relaxing.

Thanks to my genius expectation, I was really let down because it was super #$%^#$^& painful when the beautician was removing my black heads! I told her immediately that I felt like my face was about to burst and bleed, and the pain was so unbearable that I teared!

The beautician then explained to me that the first factor was because I've never done facial before, and my black heads were hardened so they had to squeeze extra hard to get them out.

After all the pain, I asked if my face will be smoother and the beautician said,

"You're a guy, you want your face to be so smooth for what, as long as it's clean then it's good."

LOL! Kena scolded! But in a friendly way of course.

Once the painful part was dealt with, it came to the facial massage and masking part. This was the part where I really felt like I wanted to doze off. Ha!

Overall, it was a good experience though now that I have a love-hate relationship with all beauty salons. LOL! Before I left, I was offered a cup of their signature herbal brew. I didn't fancy it because I've sweet tooth, if they added honey in it, then I'd probably finish the whole cup! Hahaha!

I really felt like my face was so much cleaner after the session at Adonis. It gave me great pleasure and satisfaction. LOL.

I've always been using Shiseido for my personal facial products, but lately I was introduced to this new product by Bio-essence and it's called Nugeno Men Cool.

Nugeno Men, by Bio-essence

Nugeno Men Cool contains Thanakha extract that has deep nourishing, hydrating and cooling properties, and is a tried and tested formula used to maintain skin fairness even under the sun, blocking out harmful UV rays and external pollutants.

Limonia acidissima (Thanakha or Tanaka)

"Tanaka means both "cosmetic for beautifying the face" and "cleansing agent". The production of Tanaka for use is fascinating. The simple procedure involves stripping of the bark from the plant, soaking it in water and then grounding it on a mortar and mixed with water to form a fragrant paste to be applied onto the face. It is recognized as an effective and ideal cosmetic for those who have to work under direct sunshine. Women who work in paddy fields always wear thick layers of Tanaka to protect themselves from the harsh sun. It also cools and soothes skin to help prevent pimples." -Extract from Bio-essence

I'm currently using the Cleansing & Facial Foam and Facial Scrub by Nugeno. However I did not get their toner. I'll have to see if I need it after a period of usage. After using it each time, I do feel like my skin is fairer. Darn! I wanna be tanned! LOL.

While my pores are still open after the facial wash, I would apply Aloe Vera Soothing Gel By New Image International that contains 94% pure Aloe Vera Gel. Since Aloe Vera is known for it's healing properties and cooling effects, it is really no harm to do so since the facial pores are open, just take the opportunity to rub them in.

For masking, I normally just spread Alpha Lipid Colostrum on my face. I know, it's funny, and it stinks. Because I'm kinda like spreading milk powder on my face. However, I believe it does help to provide nutrition for my face.

I'll just simply open up the capsule and pour the powder onto my palm, put a few droplets of water, mash it and then apply it on my face.

It is unavoidable that sometimes pimples do grow due to the harsh weather, but these are all that I could do to make my face look better.

See, no pimples!

Now, I just need to know how to remove small scars from my face. Ha!

There's no such thing about 'being ugly', but there's such thing about 'being too lazy to look good'.

So tell me, what kinda products do you use?

How ugly is Betty actually?

I wouldn't say I'm an Ugly Betty fanatic but I do follow the series. I admit I do get a bit excited when I get to download the next episode. Hehe! What! Don't judge me.

I have people like my sister who asked me,

"Why do you watch Ugly Betty? She's so ugly larh."

Hence, UGLY Betty! Lol.

Honestly, she's really very ugly. Hahahahaha! I can't imagine myself dating a girl that looks like that.

But in the show, she did date guys that look like this!

Christopher Gorham (as Henry Grubstick)

And this!

Daniel Eric Gold (as Matt Hartley)

I know, I know.. it's just a show, right. Then again, I believe people do get attracted to good personalities. Of course first impression is important, but you can't sustain a relationship with bad, stinking attitude. If you can tolerate, then good for you. :)

I feel people who are really ugly is when they are ugly from the inside.

Let me give you my definition of a real ugly person.
-Power hungry
-Backstabber
-Give false testimony of others
-Two-faced
-Ungrateful
-Takes advantage of others to get ahead
-Uber political

So, in my personal opinion, Betty is not that ugly after all. A nice person is never ugly.

There's something that a person told me which I don't think I will ever forget,

"Jon, you just do what's right".

Thus, you will never be perceived as an 'ugly' person if you do what's right. *big grin*

Oh well, end of story. Short post.

By the way, Episode 8 of Ugly Betty Season 4 is out! LOL!

iHeart Crocs

Today is my most torturous shopping experience ever!

Since Sis was heading back to KL from Seremban, I tagged along and went to MidValley - my usual shopping spot. Needless for doubts, I put on my new flip flop and was ready to hit the stores.

Once I reached MidValley, I gave Huey Yi a call because she's usually my partner-in-crime when it comes to shopping in KL. Hahaha! Called her and told her I miss her a lot and wished that she would be here. Okay! Getting mushy.

Anyway, I got Rachel to meet up with me at 3.30pm after a long walk all on my own. By then, my brand new flip flop was giving me a bit of problem. The one on the right was overly tight and I feel superbly in pain.

I totally felt like I was having PMS. Not the overly emotional part but that feeling when you feel like everyone around should share the same pain. Like how girls would say: WHY GUYS DON'T HAVE PMS WANT ARH!

LOL! After meeting up with Rachel, I quickly suggested to find for a place for me to rest my poor feet. Now I know why Huey Yi would always tell me during our shopping trip:
-Eh Jon, let's go for a drink.
-Wait wait, let me sit down.
-(Toilet break) You go ahead, I'll be out here waiting.
Or she would mysteriously look for a new pair of flats, or mysteriously walks slower. Hahaha! Awww, Huey Yi, see how much I know about you!

The rest really did help, but only for a while. Soon after that, I was complaining again. I felt like a little brat who's making noise at the mother! Grrr. I hated myself at that moment. Hahaha!

I've always wanted to try on a pair of Crocs, after much good reviews from friends. And especially on such a rightful occasion, I stormed right in with Rachel and I saw this pair that looks like this:

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHTWEAR

I put it on and I tell youuuuu.....I've never liked a pair of shoe so much...I didn't want to take it off. I felt so comfortable and I was so loud, the lady right in front kept eyeing on the shoe too. Hey lady, it's mine ok!

SO FROM TODAY ONWARDS, I WILL SAVE UP FOR THAT PAIR OF CROCS! If anyone who has a kind and generous soul, you may also donate to 'CROCS-FOR-JON-FUND'.

It's super comfortable. Really super.

It's so super, I feel like rebranding Crocs. Calling it SUPER-CROCS!

It's ONLY RM209. If everybody passes me RM1 each time you see me, it would be awesome! LOL Totally free-will, no obligations, no pressure.

:-D

And I don't care if it's ugly. :-X I'm not into fashion anymore. Lalalala!

I love CROCS!
